LOCAL HIKING

If you don’t have it, download the app “AllTrails”, it’s what we use to find new hikes. A few recommendations that can all be found on AllTrails:

If you are looking for a shorter hike:

  • Parkview, Strawberry Jack & Pine Lake Loop (2.9 miles) has great views and a peaceful little lake. It’s in Pine Valley Ranch Park.

If you are looking for a longer hike:

  • Eagle’s View Trail Loop (4.2 miles) also has great views and more elevation gain. Located in Reynold’s Ranch County Park.

  • Lion’s Head via Lion’s Back Trail (11-13 miles) is a long one that ends in a waterfall. Part of the trail is along a dirt road, but there are some resident marmots along the way. This one is in Staunton State Park.

Hope this helps, happy trails!
